Emoke Ritter is a world famous contortionist hailing from Hungary.  She performed for years and her unique style attracted huge numbers of fans no matter where she performed.  Emoke is now retired and teaches aspiring performers in contortion and other circus arts.

Fay Ruthe, a retired contortionist and teacher, has graciously donated part of her collection of contortion photos she amassed over the years.  They are presented here as a showcase of American contortion during the mid 1950's thru the 1970's.  Fay's collections is in two parts:

1.)  Collection of photos of her contortion students or others she occasionally instructed.

2.)  Collection of miscellaneous contortion photos.

In total, there are nearly 700 images.  Scanned from original prints, they are excellent quality in high resolution JPG format.
